【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementsapplytoventingsystems,constructedofrigidmetal,forventinghouseholdelectricclothesdryersandType1gas-burninghouseholdclothesdryersasdefinedbytheStandardforGasClothesDryers,ANSIZ21.5.1andtheNationalFuelGasCode,NFPA54.1.2Ventingsystemscoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedtoconveyexhaustaircontainingmoisture,lint,andthebyproductsofcombustionfromhouseholdclothesdryerstotheoutsideatmosphereortoanexistingpermanentductprovidedaspartofthebuildingstructure.Theseventingsystemsareintendedforusewithclothesdryersthathavebeeninstalledinaccordancewiththemanufacturer'sinstructions,NationalFuelGasCode,NFPA54,NationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,andstateorlocalcodes.1.3Theserequirementsdonotcoverflexibleventingsystems.1.4Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisOutlineofInvestigation,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstodeterminethatthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisOutlineofInvestigationismaintained.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisOutlineofInvestigationshallnotbejudgedtocomplywiththisOutlineofInvestigation.Whereappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisOutlineofInvestigation.
