【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthenanoscratchmethodfordeterminingtheresistanceofpaintcoatingsonsmoothflatsurfacestoscratch/mar.1.2Previousmethodsusedinscratch/marevaluationfirstphysicallyscratchormarasamplessurfacewithmultiplecontactcutting,andthenusevisualinspectiontoassignaranking.Ithasbeenrecognizedthatlossofappearanceismainlyduetosurfacedamagescreated.Thephilosophyofthismethodistoquantitativelyandobjectivelymeasurescratch/marbehaviorbymakingtheevaluationprocesstwostepswithemphasisonsurfacedamages.Steponeistofindtherelationshipbetweendamageshapeandsizeandexternalinput(suchasforces,contactgeometry,anddeformation).Steptwoistorelatedamageshapeandsizetovisuallossofluster.Thefirststepiscoveredbythismethod;inaddition,asurveyintheappendixprovidesanexampleofanexperimenttorelatethedamagetothechangeinluster.1.3Therearethreeelementarydeformationmechanisms:elasticdeformation,plasticdeformationandfracture;onlythelattertwobothcontributesignificantlytomar.Thismethodevaluatesscratch/marbasedonthelattertwodamagemechanisms.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
